How to Download Google Docs as MS Word

Google Docs can open Word or PDF files, but you can’t open a Google Doc file using any other software.

You must download the document in any specific format to open it via third-party apps.

Google Docs uses .gdoc file extension; only the owner can open and modify the file from a web browser.

If you created a document using Google Docs but must send it as a Word file, you can either download it or email it as a Word file.
