ASUS Router Login

You can access the control center by visiting http://router.asus.com from a device connected to your ASUS router. Also, ASUS WiFi 5 routers have 192.168.1.1 and WiFi 6 routers have 192.168.50.1 assigned as their login IP.

Here’s what you should know about your ASUS router:

Login URL: router.asus.com

Login IP: 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.50.1

Username: admin

Password: admin

How to log in to an ASUS router?

  1. Connect your device to the router’s network via WiFi or LAN.
  2. Open a web browser and go to http://router.asus.com.
  3. Type admin in the username and password fields.
  4. Click Sign In to access the control center.

Change Asus WiFi Name and Password

ASUS allows you to share the same SSID and password for dual-band networks. A device will automatically connect to the compatible network.

Go to ASUS Wireless

Log in to your ASUS router and click Wireless from the left sidebar.

Toggle off Smart Connect

If you want separate SSID and password for each network, toggle off Enable Smart Connect.

Select the network band

Pick your preferred network band from the drop-down menu.

Change ASUS WiFi Name

If you want to update your WiFi name, enter the new name in the Network Name (SSID) field. 

Change ASUS WiFi Password

If you want to change your WiFi password, enter it in the WPA Pre-Shared Key field. Click Apply to change your WiFi name & password. 

Change ASUS Router Admin Username & Password

The default ASUS router username is admin, and the password is also admin. You can update the username and password from the control center.

ASUS router login

Open a web browser and go to 192.168.1.1. Log in using the default login credentials (admin/admin).

Go to Administration

Click on the Administration from the left sidebar. It will open the Operation Mode page.

Switch to the System Tab

Switch to the System tab.

Change ASUS admin username

Enter your new username in the Router Login Name field. Enter your new login password and re-type it.

Click on Apply

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Apply

The default login credentials won’t work anymore unless you reset your router using the reset button.

How to reset an ASUS Router

Resetting your router restores the router to the factory default settings. You will be able to log in using the default credentials after resetting it.

  1. Power on your ASUS router.
  2. Find the Reset button on the rear panel of it.
  3. Press and hold it for 10-15 seconds.
  4. Release the button once all LEDs start flashing.
