D-Link Router Login

Latest D-Link routers have a dedicated router login URL (http://dlinkrouter.local) and old models have a login IP 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.

The default login password is blank, you can enter admin in the username and log in to your router’s control panel.

How to log in to a D-Link router?

  1. Connect your computer to the router and open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar, type http://dlinkrouter.local or 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 whichever works for you.
  3. Enter admin in the username field and click Login.

Unless you previously changed the login password, it would work on any D-Link router.

Log in to your D-Link router

Change D-Link WiFi Name/Password

Once you log in to the control panel, click Wireless from the navigation menu.

It opens the Wireless Basics page that handles your wireless network.

If you want to change your WiFi name, type the name in the Name(SSID) field.

Click Apply to update the WiFi name.

Click Apply

If you want to modify your WiFi password, ensure the Security Options is WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK AES.

Enter your new password in the Pre-Shared Key field and click Apply

Changing your WiFi name/password will remove all connected devices from the wireless network. You must connect wireless devices to the new SSID with the new password. 

Change D-Link Router Login Password

The default D-Link router login username is Admin for older models, and the newer model requires only a password to log in. 

Log in to your D-Link router

Once you log in to the router’s control panel, click Maintenance from the navigation menu and select Admin from the left sidebar.

Select the username Admin from the User Account Table.

Keep the Old Password field blank.

Change D-Link Admin Password

Enter a new admin password in the New password field, and re-type the password in the Confirm Password field.

Click Modify

Click Modify to change your router admin password. 

You will be logged out of the control panel instantly. You must log in using the new password from now on.

Don’t forget the admin password; otherwise, you can’t access the control panel without performing a factory reset. 

Reset a D-Link router

You can reset your D-Link to the factory default settings in only 15 seconds. 

You can perform the factory reset from the control panel if you remember the login password or still use the default blank password.

Or, there’s a reset button at the rear panel of every D-link router. 

Reset a D-Link router from the Control Panel

  1. Connect your computer to the router, and open a web browser.
  2. Visit 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. Log in to your D-Link router
  3. Login using the admin password; the default password is blank; just click the Login button.
  4. Click Maintenance from the top navigation bar. Go to Maintenance
  5. Click the Reset button. Reset a D-Link Router
  6. Your router will reset itself to the factory settings after 33 seconds. 

Reset a D-Link router using the reset button

  1. Power on your D-Link router.
  2. Find the Reset button on the back side of your router.
  3. Press and hold the button for 10-15 seconds.
  4. Release the button when the router LEDs start blinking.
  5. Your D-Link router will reboot with the factory default configuration.

After resetting your router, you can visit 192.168.0.1/192.168.1.1 and log in without any password.

You can also change the admin login password if you want.
